Course Description

Resources

Students are provided with learning materials, assessment resources, trainer support, and access to practical learning activities designed to reflect current industry standards..

Reassessment

GITE provides students with opportunities for reassessment and additional support where required, in accordance with its assessment policies and procedures.

Recognition

Successful students will be awarded the nationally recognised qualification CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability). Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer may be available for eligible applicants.

Eligibility/ Entry requirements

Students must:

 

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Meet English language requirements for the course.
  • Hold a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI).
  • Satisfy requirements for vocational placement, which may include Police Checks, Working with Children Checks, NDIS Worker Screening, and vaccination requirements where applicable.
  • Be physically capable of undertaking practical placement activities.

Successful completion of this qualification may provide pathways into:

 

  • CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
  • CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support
  • CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services
  • Other qualifications within the Community Services and Health Training Package.
